June 4 - July 1, 2005
Black Maria Gallery - Los Angeles, CA
This Exhibition is called "6 degrees of Separation from Andy Warhol". An original painting and drawing of his are hung in the exhibit.
I met Warhol in New York City a few years before he passed away. For this exhibit I decided to do his portrait and of course it was based on the square format. Warhol continues to be a great inspiration for me. He loved innovative ideas and techniques and there is no doubt in my mind that if he were alive today, he would be like a kid in a candy store. Technology has taken photography and printing into realms no one had imagined.
