Custom art bike collaboration project with Predator Bicycles.

This was a great and unique project! To create a work of art on a custom hand built bicycle frame that would be tricked out with some of the fastest components. A super light bike with a one of a kind look and build.

We did the photo shoot down on Venice Beach, CA.

HomeGirl Cafe project with Father Boyle.

Created the photographs for HOMEGIRL CAFE'S latest project: SMASH IT UP HOMEGIRL! is the Homegirl Café's newest farmers' market concept, where homegirls "smash up" seasonal fruits and vegetables to create a healthy cocktail of salad-fresh ingredients.

What is Homegirl Cafe?:
Homegirl Café, a division of Homeboy Industries, is a social enterprise assisting at-risk and formerly gang-involved young women and men to become contributing members of our community through training in restaurant service and culinary arts. Homegirl Café offers a one year training program within the food and service industry, empowering young people to redirect their lives and providing them with hope for their futures.

"The King of Pop" moonwalks into the afterlife.

MichaelJackson

Today Michael Jackson passed away and in recognition of a profound and complex performer, I have created his portrait. Making this piece was at first more challenging as his facial dynamics changed so much through his adult life. I wanted to capture his essence while embracing the many sides of Michael Jackson into one all encompassing portrait of his being.

The artwork is available in an open edition series, signed for $50 in the Store.

Perhaps his most influential album for me was, “Off The Wall” which he recorded in 1979. He made the album with Quincy Jones and many performers contributed such as Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder.

He won his first Grammy with this album and it ultimately ended up in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Poster art created for GAZA REBIRTH Project.

GAZAREBIRTH

ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
JOIN IN SOLIDARITY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GAZA’S CHILDREN

A collaborative exhibition featuring the work of 50 artists is underway in the Hudson Valley. The exhibit, titled “Gaza Rebirth: Artists in Solidarity,” seeks to raise awareness of Gaza’s plight as well as Israelis’ and Palestinians’ struggle to foster mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. Fifty percent of all sales will be donated to the children of Gaza.
“Gaza Rebirth” will kick off with a public celebration on June 21 (summer solstice) at the Baraka complex in Stanfordville, NY (12-7) and thereafter will remain open to the public every weekend through August 21.
Maxwell Kofi Donkor, international and national known master drummer from Ghana will perform live at the opening celebration. Kofi leads drum circles for children, has been very influential in the arts-in-education program in schools and communities in the Tri-State region and has played with world-renowned drummers, like Baba Olatunje and Mickey Hart. He believes in the use of cultural arts as a conduit in community building, teamwork, leadership, diversity and self-esteem.
“Gaza Rebirth” organized and curated by Kardash Onnig, a Hudson Valley-based sculptor, activist, author, inventor, and toymaker is based on the concept of what he calls “symbiotic synthesis,” which has deep roots in Kardash’s Armenian background. For example, in the 4
th century, following a millennium of conflict between the Armenians and the Parthians, a common alphabet was invented to facilitate communication between the two nations which was the first major step towards peace. gazastripped

This design objective for this artwork was to propose a visual merging of two flags, two identities, two peoples hearts into one. Using the topographical landscape as an underlying component to the trauma and the solution. Using Onnig’s Torso as the symbolic union via the maternal essence of the universal mother. Gaza Stripped is the path to truth, in saying, when a person is stripped of their clothes, their cultural identity, we can begin to see the common component, The humananity.

535 Fifth Ave Lobby...

grandcentral

This is a rear illuminated work of art installed in the main lobby at 535 Fifth Ave. New York, N.Y. The Lobby renovation was designed by The Gensler Architectural firm. I was asked to provide ideas for the space allocated and responded with 10 different conceptual drawings, all representing The culture, life or architecture of New York City. They chose to go with a portrait of “The Grand Central Terminal” which is a landmark located just around the corner from the building. This piece stands at 10 feet tall and 4 feet wide and is built into the wall using state of the art, day light balanced continuous lighting technology. There are no windows in the lobby and wanted to get as much of a “feel” for natural light ambiance and it really helped for the tones in the sky and clouds to come thru on the piece.
